Lee bring an unpretentious style to his comedy – in total contrast to his quick wit, slick look, and handsome charm.
A Vietnamese-Australian comedian and actor, Lee had a humble beginning. He was born in Richmond, an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, and raised in government commission flats on Victoria Street. As a consequence, Lee blends his personal journey as an immigrant child, his role as a father and husband, and his second love – acting. To this end, Lee has appeared on Neighbours, Utopia, Jack Irish, and in numerous TV commercials, including Coles and Cottee’s Cordial. He’s also performed in theatre, performing in Zhang Da Li’s ‘Village of Big Eaters’, and even danced on stage at the TV Logie Awards.
But Lee Ton’s true love is stand-up comedy. He has performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) in ‘The Best Of’ – a School of Hard Knock Knocks production – receiving rave reviews. Lee has also performed alongside comedy greats, including Greg Fleet, Elliot Goblet, Chris Franklin, Glynn Nicholas, George Kapiniaris, and more.
